Scarlet Monkeyflower (Erythranthe cardinalis) is a herbaceous perennial that blooms an unmistakable red or orange flower in the Fall, Spring and Summer. They won't grow very tall, only about 2-3 feet, but can spread slightly into the landscape. E. cardinalis needs wet conditions in order to thrive which usually means partial shade, but they can withstand full sun. Given the right conditions, this plant can bring a long-lasting pop of color to the landscape that attracts hummingbirds and butterflies alike!
