California Buckwheat

Eriogonum fasciculatum or California Buckwheat is an evergreen shrub and a superstar in sagebrush scrub ecosystems and for good reason! This plant provides pollinators with food from March all the way until Summer with nearly zero additional water after establishing. In the landscape, E fasciculatum can grow up to 7 feet tall although it is often in a medium height shrub. 

This plant will prefer dry conditions with full sun and well draining soil. It will grow faster or slower depending on conditions and additional water.
